Random Stuff...

I thought I would be completely random today and write about nothing in particular. The top picture is of my biggest blessings in life...each one of my children are so unique. I can remember when I was pregnant with Tyler, my 2nd child, the thought ran through my head as it often does for a "mom the 2nd time around" "How can I possibly love another child as much as I love Dylan?" Well...their uniqueness, that's how! :) Dylan is outwardly sensitive and caring of others. Tyler is funloving and has never ceased to bring a smile to my face. And Chloe...she's the Princess of the house...how can you not adore her? :) Being a parent is the biggest and best, yet most challenging, job in the world! The boys and I especially have been through so much together over the years...I often reflect that they have taught me more about life than I have taught them thus far! If you look and listen closely, your children DO teach you so much more about life than you could ever learn on your own. I don't care how much money I have, how big my house is, what kind
of car I drive, or what my job is.....there is NOTHING in this world that could top the joy my three children bring to my life!!

The next picture is of Austin and I from about a year and a half ago. I can't imagine my life without him. We've been through so much together, and as I said in my wedding vows to him "he has become my cornerstone, the rock in my life that my dad once was...just as dad was leaving my world, Austin had entered..." The responsibility that he took on with the boys and I was substantial...yet he never stopped to continue to give of himself for our sake. It amazes me how much he personally has grown over the last few years. I couldn't be more proud to call him my husband. There will always be challenging times, as every relationship has it's struggles. But through it all, in the end, he's the one that I want to climb the mountain and journey life with...

And finally, a glimpse back to my hometown, Portsmouth. I definitely need to get back home sometime soon to visit my family. It's been way too long and I miss everyone so much! The top picture I took standing on a hilltop from the KY side looking over the bridge into downtown Portsmouth. The bridge is no longer there...it's been replaced by the newer picture below, which I also took after it was complete. I like the "historic" touch the black and white picture presents...although it is hardly historic. (or maybe that's my wishful thinking that I'm not as old as as I really am right now! :) ) Even though Maumee is where my home is, Portsmouth, where I grew up....will always be "home."
