Happy 1 Year Anniversary!!

July 21st Austin and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary! And what a surprise he had in store for me! I came home from work on a Friday and was told to "dress in my best" to go out to dinner. Little did I know that Austin had made arrangements for my friend Angie to watch the kids and for a limo to pick us up! He even had our wedding day toast glasses chilled and a bottle of champagne ready for us in the limo! We were then taken to Maumee Indoor Theatre, which is an old movie theatre still in operation in the center of Maumee. On the sign were our names!! I had to laugh at the movie listing up above it..."Young At Heart." How appropriate! :) We were then taken inside to an empty movie theatre where there awaited two chairs in front of the big screen. Together we sat watching our wedding that had taken place one year ago. The only thing Austin forgot was the kleenex! :)

After that, we were taken to dinner. On the ride over to Eddie Lee's restaurant Austin pulled out an envelope that said "Happy 1 Year Anniversary I love you!" on the outside. He proceeded to hand it to me and say, "you know how 1 year is celebrated with the paper symbolism...well, here's your paper." I opened it only to find the paperwork for a trip to Cancun for he and I in October!

We had a great night. It was truly the most romantic, well thought out planning a great husband could do! Thank you, Austin... You are and always will be our cornerstone.

The next day, we continued the celebration by taking a trip to Cedar Point. (again, just Austin and I as the boys don't care too much for big roller coasters right now) Despite the rain and cloudy skies, we still managed to ride everything that we wanted to and had a blast. I don't think I will ever forget a few memories from that trip to Cedar Point....the bugs that were splattered all over us from riding Millenium Force after dark and the interesting teenagers that were making mantis hand motions while riding the Mantis. It was one of those "you have to be there to understand" moments.

I don't know that Austin can top this next year...but none the less, I'm looking forward to a great year together as we grow closer and watch our children grow older over the next year!
