August Already?!

Wow! Where has the summer gone? I can't believe in a few more weeks the boys will be back in school again... We've been busy with work and crazy schedules. Austin recently had a zoo picnic for his employer, Sunoco. The top picture is of the boys and Austin with "Sun." We had a good time and Chloe had her first train ride.

Dylan participated in the Toledo Mudhen's camp this year. They had different skill stations each day and he had a great time. He was able to score some autographs of the players at the end of camp on a keepsake baseball.

Mom (Mamaw D) had surgery on her shoulder this last week. She has had extreme pain where a plate and screws were put in less than a year ago. It was expected that they would remove the plate and clean out scar tissue, but unfortunately we didn't get positive news. They found advanced arthritis in her socket bone. The surgeon said it was comparable to a tire with the treads worn down and riding on the rim. He fully expects her to need a shoulder replacement within the next 6 months or so, depending on her ability to tolerate the pain. I went down for the surgery, but wish I could be there to help her out on a daily basis. That's the bad thing about distance with family...sometimes even when you want to be there for them you can't be. I told her if she really needed me I would find a way to
be there, though.

Austin took the boys and got their school supplies. It won't be long before we have to establish yet another new routine. I'm hopeful this year will be a great experience for the boys.

Chloe is getting so big. Three months old now.....she rolled over once at the babysitters this last week. She still doesn't sleep through the night yet........but she's MUCH better than she was a few months ago! No complaints here! :)

I miss your boys! Tell Dylan "good luck" in middle school! And tell Ty..."Go YANKEES!" :-)
